lyrics
Churning through an endless sea of bodies
Thrashing, dragging, merciless mindless meat
Blackened blinded souls swim all around me
Clawing past the corpses of the weak
Carnal chaos, thirsting for reflection
Wretched choking fetid flesh miasma
Spewing forth from kin crushed underneath
Ignoring gurgling cries of those beneath me
Drowning in the liquified remains
Feeding on the light within, until the dark consumes me
Sacrificing everything, for nothing
Escaping from the matters of mice and meaning
Succumbing to the darkness of man

I'm kicking my own ass for somehow missing this when it released. Expertly arranged death metal with kick drums that could demolish a high-rise. zirtonic

Extremely inventive and multifaceted sci-fi prog death, just like iridescent ethereal world on the cover art. Best band's achievement up to date. And easily in 2023 AOTY list Dmitry Nevozhay

A harrowing and driving journey of emotion, expertly dashing between dissonance and powerful consonance (as another person said) in a way that takes you on a scary-yet-smooth journey through ripping thorn thickets and out into a blessedly open clearing, before plunging you back into the thicket in your mad dash. The concept is rock solid, the non-Western scales are refreshing and are excellently hammered into both dissonant and non-dissonant moods, the songwriting is very well crafted. pinkytheent
The Indonesian act Kekal leaves no genre unturned, colliding black metal with industrial music with melodic post-rock on this stunning LP. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 25, 2023

This record does everything right. it has a great atmosphere. it's heavy, it's dark and cold sounding, it slows done for some extremely well written melodic parts, and has some tasty solos. I'm really looking forward to what this band has in store next. Nigel's Krypt
